RINO is the new Republican

For 32 years, I voted Republican every election that came around. I served as a delegate to state conventions and faithfully spoke of my Republican convictions at every opportunity. I was thrilled when Republican candidates won important election battles and cringed in fear when the 'other' party won.

Today, however, I no longer recognize the implemented policies of the Republican party. The changes that they are working for today remind me more of the Democrats of yesterday. The policies that Republicans fought hard against a few years ago are policies that they are working to make law today.

We have witnessed a gradual change (in my opinion a decline) in values that the Republican Party stands for. Consider two examples that I came across in my readings just this morning in very crucial political arenas...
